About Me
I’m a first-generation Latina-American from South Vallejo, Calif., where I grew up immersed in a rich tapestry of diversity. My mom’s stories about her childhood in Mexico and her experiences as an immigrant in the U.S. sparked my passion for oral storytelling. The powerful way her voice could bring stories to life made me appreciate the intimate connection that audio storytelling offers.
As a student at UC Berkeley’s Graduate School of Journalism, I focus on telling stories that matter—whether it’s exploring language barriers in local elections or examining the mental health impact of unpaid caregiving in the Latino community.
Ultimately, my goal is to create stories that engage and resonate with listeners, and I’m excited to continue honing my craft in a field that values diversity and storytelling as much as I do.
